Burgundy Vineyards Continued Ascent as France’s Priciest

In looking through it all, it is just unbelievable how much wine was put out on the market. My estimate of $100mill is very conservative: in 2007 & 2008 alone there were direct payments into RK's Wells Fargo account from private collectors & wine vendors totaling $36,068,525.
July's 2-day wine sale in London totalled £1,297,682 and attracted bidders from Europe and throughout Asia. Mature, top-flight Bordeaux and DRC were in great demand and prices for Leroy and d'Auvenay soared above their high estimates.
